Since their arrival in 2012, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo’s king penguins take a daily promenade through the zoo grounds. Penguin Walk, presented by WestJet Cargo, offers the penguins winter enrichment and additional daily exercise. Up to thirteen penguins may participate. Access to observe the March of the Penguins is included with the purchase of a Day Admission Ticket. Penguin Walk is dependent on the birds’ desire to walk and the weather; it will be cancelled if the temperature warms to 5°C, drops to or below -25°C, or winds are too strong. Ticket sales are final and refunds will not be issued due to cancellations.
