1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the YYC Buzz platform ("Service," "Platform," "Website"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

YYC Buzz is a digital platform that showcases Calgary's venues, events, deals, and community experiences. Listings on the Platform — including deals, venue information, and event details — may be submitted by venue owners or businesses, created by YYC Buzz staff, or curated from publicly available sources such as venue websites and social media. YYC Buzz does not guarantee that any listing reflects the current, accurate, or complete state of any venue's offerings.

3. Listings, Deals, and Editorial Content

YYC Buzz publishes deals, offers, and venue information ("Listings") for informational purposes only. Listings may originate from venue owners, YYC Buzz staff, or third-party public sources. Regardless of origin, all Listings are treated as informational only unless a venue has directly confirmed the listing through the Platform.

1. No guarantee of accuracy. Listings may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or details that have changed since publication. Prices, hours, availability, eligibility requirements, blackout periods, and conditions are subject to change by the venue at any time without notice to YYC Buzz.
2. Verify before you act. Always confirm deal details directly with the venue or its official website before visiting, booking, purchasing, or relying on a Listing. YYC Buzz is not responsible for any loss, inconvenience, or damage resulting from reliance on a Listing.
3. Editorial curation. YYC Buzz may add, edit, or remove Listings at its sole discretion. The inclusion of a venue or deal does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or partnership of any kind.
4. Venue correction and removal. Venue owners who wish to correct or remove a Listing may contact us at contact@yyc.buzz. YYC Buzz will review requests in good faith but retains sole discretion over all Platform content.

4. User Responsibilities

1. You agree not to use YYC Buzz for any unlawful purposes.
2. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when submitting content, creating an account, or otherwise engaging with the Platform.
3. You must not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the functionality of the Platform, or access the Platform in ways not clearly permitted by these Terms.
4. You acknowledge that deal and venue information on the Platform may be inaccurate or outdated, and that you are responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it.

5. User Content

Users may have the opportunity to submit event listings, venue descriptions, reviews, images, and other content ("User Content").

1. You retain ownership of your User Content but grant YYC Buzz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, modify, reproduce, and distribute your User Content on the Platform and in related marketing materials.
2. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
3. YYC Buzz reserves the right to edit, refuse, moderate, or remove any User Content at its sole discretion, without notice or liability to you.
4. YYC Buzz does not verify the accuracy of User Content and is not responsible for any User Content published on the Platform.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

YYC Buzz and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of YYC Buzz and its licensors. Our trademarks, logos, and trade dress may not be used without prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Content and External Links

The Platform contains links to external websites, including venue websites, booking platforms, purchase portals, and other third-party services. These links are provided for your convenience only.

1. YYC Buzz does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of any external website.
2. When you click a deal CTA (such as "View Menu," "Book Now," or "Purchase"), you leave the YYC Buzz Platform and interact directly with the venue or third-party service. Any transaction, booking, or agreement you enter into is solely between you and that third party.
3. YYC Buzz is not a party to, and has no liability for, any transaction made through a third-party link originating from the Platform.
4. Access third-party links at your own risk and review their privacy policies and terms before providing any personal information.

8. No Endorsement and No Agency

Nothing on the Platform constitutes an endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or recommendation of any venue, business, event, or deal unless explicitly stated.

1. The presence of a venue or deal on the Platform does not imply that YYC Buzz has a commercial relationship with that venue, that the venue has approved the Listing, or that the venue is currently offering the described deal.
2. YYC Buzz is not an agent, representative, or partner of any venue or business listed on the Platform. No agency relationship is created by these Terms or by use of the Platform.
3. YYC Buzz does not act as an intermediary for transactions between users and venues and is not responsible for any aspect of those interactions.

9. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YYC BUZZ MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

1. The accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose of any Listing, deal, event, or venue information on the Platform.
2. That any deal, offer, price, availability, or venue participation described on the Platform is current, valid, or honoured by the venue.
3. That the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
4. That User Content submitted by others is accurate, lawful, or appropriate.

All content and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. You use the Platform and rely on its content at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, YYC Buzz and its team members, directors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for:

1. Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
2. Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on a Listing, deal, or venue information published on the Platform, including instances where the information is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, cancelled, or subject to conditions not disclosed on the Platform.
3. Any cost or loss incurred as a result of visiting a venue, booking a service, or purchasing a product based on a Listing, where the venue no longer offers or honours the described deal.
4. Any loss resulting from your use of, or inability to use, any third-party website linked from the Platform.

Where liability cannot be fully excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YYC Buzz, its officers, directors, employees, partners, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Changes to the Terms

YYC Buzz reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Termination

YYC Buzz reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account or access to the Platform immediately and without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
