Curator Dick Averns leads a one-hour walk-through of David Garneau: Dark Chapters and Reading the Ruins at Founders' Gallery inside The Military Museums. The paired exhibitions by Métis artist and scholar David Garneau use metaphorical still life paintings to explore the legacy of colonialism on contemporary Indigenous life and to contemplate ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine, displayed alongside NWMP-era artifacts from UCalgary's Special Collections. Drop in on any of three tour dates before the show closes August 30.
