Cumbia City turns SpanicArts into a three-session, multidisciplinary celebration of cumbia as a global urban movement, blending visual art, film, dance, and music across the weekend. Friday opens with an exhibition by visual artists including Sydonne Warren, Isabel Carvajal, Code Sin, Ana Betancourt, and Mikhail Miller, followed by Saturday workshops in cumbia singing (with Cassandra de la Torre), percussion, and urban dance, capped by a late-night party featuring a Selena tribute by Gabriela Anaité and Chilean cumbia sets from DJ Chico, DJ Crivelli, and Mar Luna. *Free festival — advance RSVP required via Eventbrite for each session you'd like to attend.*
