Calgary Civic Symphony explores composers whose creative lives were shaped by upheaval and interruption, pairing works by Boulanger, Prokofiev, Debussy, and Ravel with a new 50th anniversary commission by Arthur Bachmann. Pianist Thomas Yu joins conductor Rolf Bertsch for an afternoon of resilient, dramatic orchestral music.
