Come experience how our shared love of photography can connect, inspire, and equip us to share our nation's stories at the Canadian Photography Conference 2026! Join us July 13-16, 2026, at the South Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, where the Foothills Camera Club and the Canadian Association for Photographic Art are hosting an unforgettable gathering of creativity, artistry, and community. The schedule features speakers with diverse genres, including a high-octane look at capturing split-second action from Olympian-turned-photographer Kelly VanderBeek, a deep dive into powerful documentary storytelling with Nadya Kwandibens, and practical insights on using wildlife images for activism with premier conservation photographer John E. Marriott. From Richard Martin’s abstract fine-art techniques and Monika Deviat’s mesmerizing night sky masterpieces to Craig Hilts’ adrenaline-fueled prairie storm chasing, the event is packed with dynamic presentations, trade shows, and hands-on excursions designed to inspire creators of all skill levels. Attend In person or Online For the first time ever, the conference is going hybrid! You can still join virtually with live-stream access and 12 months of on-demand recordings as well as join the community live in person.
