Knitting for Beginners with Tigist & Meklit

Ready to pick up a new hobby? Join Tigist and Meklit for a hands-on introduction to knitting at Alcove Core. This beginner-friendly workshop covers the basics of handling needles and yarn, giving you the tools to start making your own creations. It’s a relaxed setting to learn at your own pace, with support from facilitators who have a deep personal connection to the craft. The session is recommended for ages 12 and up, though younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Admission is by donation to support the facilitators and supplies, and the program is funded by the City of Calgary and Calgary Foundation. Come for the skills, stay for the community.
