WHISPERS OF THE ANCESTORS — COMMUNITY SCREENING

Join a community screening of Whispers of the Ancestors, an Indigenous women-led short documentary presented by Nish Productions in collaboration with Cree8. The film follows Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes, Reagan Markwell, and Chantal Chagnon as they explore ancestral knowledge, cultural traditions, identity, and healing. Guided by an Elder and Knowledge Keepers, the documentary moves through stories of drumming, storytelling, and the responsibility of carrying teachings forward to the next generation. Proceeds support Cree8, Sisters in Spirit, and MMIWG2S-related initiatives, while also helping create future community screenings. All ages are welcome to this in-person experience at The Plaza Theatre.
