2026 Author in Residence Talk: Serendipity

Curl up in the Performance Hall for a conversation with Eugene Stickland on the strange, winding path that turned an aspiring pianist into one of Calgary's acclaimed authors. As part of the Library's Author in Residence series, Stickland looks back on serendipity, the happy accidents and unlikely turns that reshaped his life and career, in a relaxed, reminiscing talk rather than a formal lecture. A great pick for book lovers, aspiring writers, or anyone curious how a few chance moments can send a life in a whole new direction. Open to all ages, free to attend.
