Artists Trading Cards for Newcomers

Newcomers to Calgary and Canada are invited to Sparrow Artspace to make and swap Artist Trading Cards — miniature 2.5-by-3.5-inch original artworks created to be traded, never sold. No experience is needed and all supplies are provided, so it's an easy, low-pressure way to get creative and connect with fellow newcomers and local artists. Sparrow Arts Society board members will be on hand to share details about their artist-in-residence program and other community resources. Free event — advance registration required via Eventbrite.
