JUNO Award-winning Wolastoqiyik composer and tenor Jeremy Dutcher performs at Studio Bell's Performance Hall in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A classically-trained ethnomusicologist from Tobique First Nation, Dutcher reinterprets century-old wax-cylinder recordings of his ancestors into stirring new compositions sung in Wolastoqey. Expect an intimate evening that bridges archival songcraft, jazz, and contemporary resistance.
