Divided or Decided? Alberta after the Referendums

Join Mount Royal University for a public lecture exploring the context and consequences of Alberta's recent independence referendum. Professor Jared Welsey, a leading expert on prairie politics, will share insights from his team's year-long research embedded within the independence movement. He will discuss who supported the referendum questions, the reasoning behind them, and what the results mean for Alberta's future relationship with Canada. The session includes a Q&A moderated by Kathleen Petty, offering a comprehensive look at the political landscape. This is an opportunity to hear from a scholar who has tracked public opinion and attended rallies across the province.
