Hallway Gallery: The Living Ink Reimagination by Jiahua He

Discover a fresh take on ancient brushwork in this visual arts exhibition at cSPACE Marda Loop. The show blends traditional Chinese calligraphy and Japanese shodo with contemporary design, reimagining these historical practices as a dynamic, living medium. This isn't just a static display; the experience includes live demonstrations and an artist-led walkthrough designed to connect with the local community. It’s a chance to see how solitary Eastern arts traditions can evolve into a shared public experience, fostering intercultural understanding in Calgary. The project is supported by Calgary Arts Development and features work from an artist with a strong local track record, including appearances at the Chinatown Festival and the Calgary Flames Lunar New Year Game Night. Admission is free.
