The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra closes the Classics 3 series with the powerful sweep of Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances. Conductor Alejandra Urrutia leads the orchestra through Sibelius' haunting Valse Triste before pianist Angela Cheng takes the spotlight in Saint-Saëns' scintillating Piano Concerto No. 2 — a whirling, tarantella-fuelled showcase. One night only at the Jack Singer Concert Hall inside Werklund Centre.
