Vital City 2026

Join the Calgary Foundation for Vital City 2026, an evening dedicated to reflecting on the city's past impact and looking ahead to its future. This gathering marks 70 years of generosity strengthening Calgary through challenges and change. The program features Eva Friesen, President & CEO of Calgary Foundation, who will review the year’s financial performance and grantmaking impact, along with insights from the 2026 Quality of Life Report. Guests will also hear from Tareq Hadhad, CEO & Founder of Peace by Chocolate, whose story of resilience and new beginnings offers a powerful perspective on hope emerging from difficult times. The event includes a reception with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres, followed by the main program. It is an in-person experience designed for community members interested in local civic life and philanthropy. RSVP is required to attend.
