Bluegrass Jam Camp, Wernick Method

Learn to jam even if you've never played in a group before. This full-day bluegrass camp uses Pete Wernick's time-tested Wernick Method, led by certified instructor Al LaMonaca, to get complete beginners into a real jam session — following songs by ear, keeping steady rhythm and backup, and taking simple solos. All bluegrass instruments are welcome (acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, fiddle and bass), and only a few basic chords are needed to take part. A relaxed, confidence-building day for beginners and closet pickers alike.
