The Alberta Society of Artists presents Calgary artist Sarah Almquist in a solo residency exhibition that reframes rest and relaxation as a form of quiet protest and self-care. Inspired by her cat Morti and the social craft club she recently founded, Almquist celebrates hyperfixation, mindfulness, and the joy of making things outside of commercialized art. The show pairs her studio practice with an interactive crafting component and an open studio session for visitors.
