Calgary Chinatown glows once again for its annual Lantern Festival, when hundreds of colourful lanterns are strung throughout the neighbourhood. Centred on Daqing Square and the Chinese Cultural Centre, the evening brings cultural performances, family activities, and plenty of photo-worthy displays as the lanterns light up the streets after dark. Hosted by the Calgary Chinatown BIA, it's a free, all-ages way to experience the heart of Chinatown.
