Located in Downtown East Village
Join the Calgary Justice Film Festival for a screening of short documentaries created by youth participants in the CJFF Youth Documentary Film Pilot Project. Over the summer, these young filmmakers explored justice topics that matter to their families and communities, learning to research, interview, and edit their own stories. The result is a collection of fresh, honest perspectives and a hopeful look at the changes the next generation wants to see. The program includes a 30-minute community discussion following the films, offering a space for reflection and dialogue. As part of the inaugural Culture in Action initiative, the festival also features art and performance throughout the venue, so arriving early to experience the full atmosphere is encouraged. Please note that these films are presented without edits and may contain sensitive content. This screening is intended for mature audiences, and viewer discretion is advised. Photography and video may be taken by the organizers and the public.
