NMC Tours: Backstage Pass

Step behind the scenes at Studio Bell for an exclusive look at Canada's music history. This one-hour guided tour takes you through the working spaces of the National Music Centre’s world-class recording studios, offering a rare glimpse into the technology that has shaped sound for 450 years. Guided by NMC music educators, you’ll hear the stories behind notable artifacts in the collection. Highlights include a 16th-century Trasuntino Harpsichord and TONTO, often called the holy grail of synthesizers. You’ll also get to see the legendary Rolling Stones Mobile Studio, where countless hit records were made. Space is limited and tours are first-come, first-served, so booking in advance is recommended. The experience is recommended for ages 12 and up. NMC Members and musicians can visit the front desk for discounted rates. Studio Bell admission is required, and strollers are not permitted on the tour.
