Calgary Opera closes out the winter with Jules Massenet's shimmering, romantic take on the classic fairytale, sung in English with projected captions. Directed by Mieko Ouchi and conducted by Jacques Lacombe, it stars Andriana Chuchman in the title role opposite Nora Sourouzian as Prince Charming, with Midori Marsh as the Fairy Godmother. Featuring the Calgary Opera Chorus and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, it's a full-on transformation fantasy told in a breathless race against the clock.
