Samantha Walrod: Off the Beaten Path

Newzones presents a solo exhibition of new work by Alberta contemporary artist Samantha Walrod. Layering paint, collage, photography and ink, Walrod depicts bears, elk and wolves at the edge of the wilderness — fleeting moments where humans and animals observe one another across a shrinking distance. The result is a tactile meditation on how we picture nature and the habitats we share.
