Beaded Poppy Pin Workshop

Create a handmade beaded poppy pin while learning the basics of Métis beadwork. This all-day, beginner-friendly workshop is led by Janis Laboucane, a Métis artisan from Fishing Lake Métis Settlement with extensive experience in traditional arts. You will work step-by-step to craft a beautiful pin to wear in commemoration of Remembrance Day. All materials are included and are yours to keep, even if you don’t finish during the session. Please bring a lunch, as the workshop runs all day. A portion of proceeds supports a local non-profit organization for Calgary veterans. Sponsored tickets are available for those facing financial barriers.
