Looking for a cozy way to boost your child's confidence? Join the Calgary Humane Society for a gentle reading session with adoptable animals. This program helps young readers practice their skills in a calm, supportive environment while connecting with animal welfare. Each visit includes a brief introduction to the shelter followed by dedicated time to read to a cat, bunny, bird, reptile, or small rodent. Children remain outside the kennel doors to ensure the safety and comfort of the animals, which also helps them focus on their reading.
