Theatre Calgary stages the cult 1980s musical about Seymour, a timid flower-shop assistant who cultivates a bloodthirsty alien plant with a taste for more than water. Book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, music by Alan Menken, with a 1960s doo-wop, Motown and pop-flavoured score. Directed and choreographed by Tracey Flye with music direction by David Terriault, and starring Tenaj Williams as Seymour and Kate Blackburn as Audrey.
