So You Wanna Write A Play?!?

Alberta Playwrights' Network Executive Director Trevor Rueger leads a hands-on crash course on writing for the stage, walking through character, plot, action, crisis and conflict for both brand-new and experienced writers. Part of the 2026 Calgary Fringe Theatre Festival, the session draws on Rueger's 30-plus years developing over 500 new plays. Class size is capped at 25, so spots are limited.
