Free native plants for Calgarians through a City of Calgary and Friends of Fish Creek partnership, meant to help make local gardens more drought-tolerant and pollinator-friendly. Each household can take home native plant plugs, with offerings that may include Missouri Goldenrod, Smooth Blue Aster, Tufted Fleabane, Green Needlegrass, and Plains Rough Fescue (subject to availability). Held outdoors at the Bow Valley Ranch day use area in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Free event — advance registration required, one ticket per household, with a short survey completed at registration.
