A Long Dramatic Pause makes its Canadian premiere in Contemporary Calgary's Grotto, a live performance by Cindy Ansah co-developed with Toronto artist Erdem Taşdelen as part of his exhibition Wounded in Three Acts. Across twelve theatrical scenes, a solo performer describes a photograph never shown directly, bringing an antifascist figure to life through re-enactment and visual analysis. As the piece unfolds it draws the audience in, shifting focus toward collective presence and resistance to ultranationalism and far-right politics.
