Edmonton-born, Trinidadian-Canadian artist Curtis Talwst Santiago brings his acclaimed Infinity Series to Contemporary Calgary — palm-sized dioramas built inside jewellery boxes that each hold a whole world, from Caribbean basement dance parties and barbershops to figures dreaming in the grass and scenes of migration. Curated by Kanika Anand, the exhibition threads these intimate cardboard scenes through a larger scenography of horns, pipes and circuitry that nods to Santiago's roots as a musician and to the networks that move people, objects and memory. It's a show about how stories are carried, interrupted and reassembled across time and geography.
