Honens teams up with Early Music Voices for an intimate evening of Handel's Italian cantatas — three rarely-heard works he wrote between 1707 and 1709 during his years in Italy. Soprano Maya Kherani leads the program, backed by a baroque trio of Andrea Case (cello), Michel Angers (theorbo & guitar), and Justin Luchinski (harpsichord). Christ Church's acoustics make a fitting setting for music originally composed for private salons rather than grand halls.
