Growing Ideas Together

A hands-on design justice workshop where youth, community members, students, and design professionals work side by side to co-develop spatial ideas for the Forest Lawn Community Association grounds, centred on an upcoming community garden enhancement. Presented by Lemay's Design Justice Initiative in collaboration with the YES Centre, the 2.5-hour session runs through four live phases: a power reset, community mapping, a youth-led visioning round, and rapid prototyping. Youth ages 11 to 18 are active participants, not observers, and families are welcome. Free event as part of Design Week Calgary — advance registration required via Luma.
