Copenhagen-based, Jeju Island-born artist Jane Jin Kaisen brings three interconnected video works to Contemporary Calgary's Morris & Ann Dancyger Observatory Gallery. Anchored by the titular 2022 installation, the show follows a funerary procession assembled to ceremoniously bury a world order built on hierarchy and division, joined by Sorrow Waters This Land and the folklore-driven Dokkaebi. Curated by Noa Bronstein, it's a striking, poetic meditation on ritual, collectivity, and the possibility of collective transformation.
