Weave your own mini sash keychain using traditional Métis-style finger weaving techniques in this hands-on afternoon workshop at The Confluence. Métis artist Arlan LaVallee-Nairn and Saulteaux-Métis artist Rey-J Horsefall guide you through the history of the Métis sash — its multipurpose Fur Trade origins and the meaning behind its striking colours and patterns — as you craft your own. Materials, instruction, and admission to the Cultural Centre are all included.
