Calgary artist Sonia Garyayev (BFA '24, Drawing) presents a collection of acrylic paintings exploring imagination, symbolism, and emotional depth through richly detailed characters and narrative scenes. Inspired by children's storybooks and folklore, the work casts young people as emotionally complex figures shaped by resilience, curiosity, and transformation.
