Life at Lougheed Barracks: The Women of the Canadian Women's Army Corps

Part of Lougheed House's A House of Story speaker series, this talk with University of Calgary PhD candidate Francesca Zambolin explores the years 1942–1946, when the historic home became Lougheed Barracks and housed hundreds of members of the Canadian Women's Army Corps. Drawing on the House's own archival materials, Zambolin traces the recruitment, training, duties, and daily lives of the CWAC members who lived and worked on the home front.
