True Grit — Film Screening

The GRAND wraps up its summer Western movie series with the Coen Brothers' 2010 adaptation of True Grit, starring Jeff Bridges as one-eyed lawman Rooster Cogburn and Hailee Steinfeld as the determined 14-year-old Mattie Ross who hires him to track her father's killer across Indian Territory. A faithful, dust-blown take on the Charles Portis novel, rounded out by Matt Damon as a Texas Ranger joining the chase. Doors at 5:30 PM, feature at 7:00 PM in the Flanagan Theatre.
