Join University of Calgary Digitization Specialist Rob Alexander for an informal, hands-on look at how to safely photograph large and unusually shaped historical materials — from an eight-foot panorama of 1914 Calgary to fire insurance plans, insects, and large-format negatives. He'll walk through the cultural heritage digitization techniques, tools, and software the library uses to capture these tricky "rodents of unusual size." Open to anyone curious about photographing oversized archival objects, held at the Glenbow Western Research Centre (meeting room 220) in the Taylor Family Digital Library. Free event — advance registration required via the source page.
