Art Book Club | Simone Elizabeth Saunders, Encompass the Galaxy: From Studio to Publication

Join Contemporary Calgary’s Art Book Club for a thoughtful conversation on the book as a creative portal. This session features acclaimed textile artist Simone Elizabeth Saunders, who will share the journey behind her recent publication, *Encompass the Galaxy*. She will explore how artists can expand their practice into print, connecting with audiences through narrative, design, and materiality. Led by Visitor Experience Manager Beth Kane, the club bridges the worlds of exhibitions and publications. It is a welcoming space for readers, artists, and art lovers who view books as both inspiration and artistic practice. After the talk, stay for a Meet & Greet. Members are invited to bring a book of their choice—an art book, zine, monograph, or self-published work—to briefly introduce to the group. It’s a chance to learn more about each other’s work and interests in art and publishing.
