Book Launch: A Child's Seance

Join Shelf Life Books for the launch of Weyman Chan's seventh poetry collection, A Child's Seance. The evening features readings from Chan alongside local poets Josephine LoRe and Jun-long Lee. The new book explores themes of mother-loss and communication with the dead, beginning with a brother and sister attempting to contact their late mother's spirit. It is a contemplative look at grief and the act of memorialization through writing. Weyman Chan is a recipient of the Writers Trust Latner-Griffin Poetry Prize and a Governor General’s Award finalist. His fellow readers, Josephine LoRe and Jun-long Lee, are established voices in the local literary scene with extensive publication records in Canada and abroad. 📍 Shelf Life Books
