Doreen Turning Robe Memorial Tiny Tot Powwow

Join the Niitoiyis Family Support Society for a warm, community-centered evening dedicated to honouring Doreen Turning Robe. This annual Tiny Tot Powwow is a family-friendly celebration of Indigenous culture, bringing together families to share in drumming, dancing, and local tradition. The event features a full lineup of special dances, including the Little Warrior Hand Drum Special, All Girls Special, and All Boys Braids Special, alongside a Best Moose Call Contest. Led by MCs Chris Pegram and Eldon Weaselchild, with Pete Favel serving as Arena Director and the TurningRobes as the Host Drum, the gathering is designed to celebrate the youngest members of the community while paying tribute to those we have lost. No registration is required, and everyone is welcome to attend. It is a meaningful opportunity to connect with local vendors, enjoy cultural performances, and participate in a respectful and inclusive community gathering.
