Stretching along the Bow River in northwest Calgary, Bowness Park is a beloved four-season destination for families and active Calgarians. In summer, the park offers a large lagoon for canoe and paddleboat rentals, wading pools, picnic areas, and a miniature train ride. When winter arrives, the lagoon transforms into Calgary's largest outdoor skating oval. Year-round, the park connects to the Bow River Pathway, providing a natural gateway into the river valley. Operated by the City of Calgary, Bowness Park is free to visit and open to all.
